Finished: Harris Hawk painting

Finally, my Harris hawk painting is done. I think I am going to take a little break from doing any large paintings for awhile! Doing an oil at this size with a wimpy table easel was a challenge. I hardly ever worked on it upright! This is the largest piece I've ever painted. I'm going to call this one "Desert Hunter". Hope you like it!

The Richeson 75: Small Works 2011 Competition

I've been working so hard to finish my Harris Hawk painting that I forgot to mention my watercolor "Melati - Sumatran Tiger" was juried into the Richeson 75: Small Works 2011 Competition sponsored by The Richeson School of Art & Gallery and Art Calendar Magazine. Seventy-five two-dimensional works of art under 144 square inches were selected. The show will be on exhibit at the Richeson Gallery in Kimberly, Wisconsin from Feb 7 - March 25, 2011.

Harris Hawk Update

Happy New Year!

I'm still progressing along on the massive Harris Hawk that takes up my table. Figured I'd post a photo before I get to work on it today. It's going to be a long day in the studio.
